Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday OT: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (as needed)
Pay:
Salary/hourly rate based on experience and skill level
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Tool Crib Attendant / Tooling Coordinator to support our contract machining operations. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, maintaining, and issuing cutting tools, hand tools, fixtures, and general industrial equipment while supporting machinists and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Duties and Responsibilities
Receive, store, set up, and issue cutting tools, hand tools, fixtures, and related equipment
Maintain accurate inventory levels within the computer system
Set up tools based on tool lists and setup sheets
Issue tools and assist machinists as needed on the shop floor
Create job boxes for new jobs; label fixturing and update computer files
Inspect and measure tools for wear or defects using micrometers, visual inspection, and vision systems
Key Competencies
Knowledge of cutting tools (endmills, drills, taps, inserts, turning tools, etc.)
Understanding of cutting tool geometries, grades, coatings, and tool holders
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude
Grinding experience is a plus
Qualifications
2–4 years of related experience and/or training
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Basic math skills including fractions, percentages, ratios, and geometry
Computer proficiency including Outlook, Word, Excel, inventory software, and order processing systems
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Temperature-controlled facility
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Regular lifting, pulling, walking, and sitting required
