Pay Range: $50,000 - $65,000

The Network Administrator will administer and oversee the implementation, organization, and troubleshooting of the network, hardware, and underlying communications protocols.

Job Knowledge and Comprehension

Responsible for design, implementation, management, and operational support of information network communication systems for all Human Service Agency locations.

Must act as a designer and an analyst of simple and advanced complex information network systems.

Maintains, troubleshoots, and upgrades data processing, information systems, electronic communications, and data retrieval.

Operations and Support

Responsible for daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, and system and key processes.

Reviews system and application logs, and verifies completion of scheduled jobs such as backups seeing that information is sent off site as necessary.

Installs new/rebuilds existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

Troubleshoots and maintains all networks and network equipment, and provides on‑call responsibility as the first contact for response to network failures.

Responsible for regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.

Applies all OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis documenting date/time and any problems incurred.

Develops and maintains installation and configuration procedures located in the HELP DESK database.

Identifies future hardware/software needs and prepares written proposals for the upgrade/purchase of network hardware/software, personal computers/servers and other software to CFO no later than March 15 yearly.

Create, change and delete user accounts per approved requests.

Ensures all personal computer systems/printers are setup to staffing needs.

Monitors internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access and authorization levels and security clearances are maintained; establish personnel clearance procedures.

Will take lead as the HIPAA Security Officer. The HIPAA Security Officer is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures that ensure the integrity of EPHI.

Maintains a high awareness of changes and needs in technical areas.

Works closely with Lead App Developer and IT Support Specialist.

Other duties as assigned consistent with exempt functions.

Physical Requirements Required to sit for long periods of time. Infrequent light physical effort required lifting up to 10 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. rarely. The employee frequently is required to sit and reach with hands and arms. Incumbent may be required to work extended periods of time at a video display terminal (VDT). Must be able to drive vehicle occasionally.

Qualifications

Possession of high school diploma or GED certificate.

Associate degree in Computer Science and/or A+ and Microsoft Operating Systems Certification with two or more years of experience, preferred.

The Board of Directors of the Human Service Agency shall have the prerogative to hire staff whose qualifications may vary from the above. This position requires access to Electronic Personal Health Information (EPHI). Current HSA Policies and Procedures apply.
