The
Lift Operations Lead
supports the Lift Operations team by assisting operators and supervisors in the safe and efficient daily operation of ski lifts. This role includes mentoring new operators, performing inspections, and ensuring high-quality guest service on the mountain.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in training and mentoring lift operators
Support operators with daily tasks, including snow removal, setup, and closing procedures
Conduct routine on-hill inspections of lift operations
Serve as an early morning opener during the winter season
Promote safety awareness and deliver exceptional guest service
Collaborate with lift maintenance to complete daily operational inspections
Work cross-functionally with all mountain departments to ensure smooth operations
Complete pre-operational procedures and safety checks
Monitor loading and unloading areas to ensure guest safety
Identify and respond to guest needs promptly and professionally
Uphold company and departmental safety standards at all times
Qualifications:
Previous lift operations experience and basic skiing or snowboarding ability required
Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently
Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and early morning shifts (6:00 a.m. start time)
Commitment to working the entire winter season
Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
