Role: Associate – PE Advisory Team
Compensation: $175,000–$200,000 base + discretionary bonus
Location: New York, NY (4 days per week in office)
About the Role: Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join their Advisory group in New York. This position offers the chance to work closely with senior leadership on fundraising initiatives and operational execution for private equity clients. You’ll play a key role in managing processes, supporting strategic decisions, and ensuring exceptional client service throughout each engagement. This is an opportunity to gain deep exposure to private equity and placement advisory while contributing to a high-performing team in a dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do:
Lead execution of fundraising projects from initial planning through completion.
Oversee preparation of marketing materials and manage workflow for analysts.
Coordinate project timelines, ensuring deliverables meet deadlines.
Act as a primary contact for clients and maintain quality standards across all interactions.
Participate in client meetings and calls, providing insights and updates throughout the process.
Support origination efforts, including research, target identification, and database management.
Contribute to team development through training, performance feedback, and recruitment initiatives.
Provide input on strategic growth opportunities for the business.
Experience Required:
Minimum 4 years in private equity, investment banking, or corporate finance advisory.
At least 2 years in a client-facing advisory or consultative role.
Strong interest in private equity and capital markets, with a desire to build expertise in fundraising advisory.
Solid understanding of corporate finance concepts (financial statements, capital structures, valuation).
Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead discussions with senior stakeholders.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; financial modeling experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
Self-starter with strong judgment and commercial awareness.
Experience managing junior team members and contributing to team development.
