Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of packaged goods, has an immediate need for an experienced
Press Machine Operator
to join their growing team in Cohoes. Our candidate of choice will be responsible for printing customer labels. The Press Operator will be required to maintain the press and printing equipment during the printing process. Their duties may include cleaning the press and all associated parts, changing tooling and gears, inking, lubricating, maintaining stations, and completing all necessary paperwork and forms. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate press and printing equipment as directed by supervisor or shift lead. Maintain accurate and timely production and quality records. Monitor press output and visually inspect products for defects and quality issues. Load and unload paper rolls, mount and shaft rolls, maintain correct ink levels, colors, and chemistry. Make necessary adjustments to ensure proper registration and maintain strict quality performance. Maintain all materials, tools, and supplies in a clean and orderly manner. Follow all safety, sanitation, and product safety procedures and policies. Operate all features of press functions. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years of flexographic or other printing press experience. Ability to identify issues/problems, evaluate options, and implement solutions. Knowledge of machines, tools, and computers, including design, use, repairs, and maintenance. Ability to understand mathematical applications, e.g., measurement, logic, etc. Good customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to work with a wide range of professions and personalities. Proficiency in English; ability to effectively read and write. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented.
