Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of packaged goods, has an immediate need for an experienced
Press Operator
to join their growing team in Albany. Our candidate of choice will be responsible for printing customer labels. The Press Operator will maintain the press and printing equipment during the printing process, including cleaning, changing tooling and gears, inking, lubricating, maintaining stations, and completing all necessary paperwork. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate press and printing equipment as directed by supervisor. Maintain accurate production and quality records. Monitor press output and inspect products for defects and quality issues. Load and unload paper rolls, mount and shaft rolls, maintain ink levels, colors, and chemistry. Make adjustments for proper registration and quality. Keep materials, tools, and supplies organized; follow safety, sanitation, and product safety procedures. Operate all features of press functions. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 5+ years of flexographic or other printing press experience. Ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions. Knowledge of machines, tools, and computers, including design, use, repairs, and maintenance. Understanding of mathematical applications such as measurement and logic. Good customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse personalities. Proficient in English reading and writing. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
