Summary Assembles and modifies standard or custom electrical parts systems and apparatus to develop assembly methods and techniques for use by production workers performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING, OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings and receives verbal instructions regarding work assignments.
Utilize handheld tools.
Aligns and assembles components made from sheet metal, structural steel, and cable tray.
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
Responsible for drilling and tapping various electrical equipment such as LV/MV MCC’s, Switchgear, UPS’s, and other associated equipment.
Operates lifting devices such as Toe Jacks, Overhead Crane, and Forklifts.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Examines parts for defects such as pinholes, chips, or dents in material.
Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Replaces defective components.
Assembles prototype units.
