HX5 is currently seeking an Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Brook Park, Ohio in support of the Test Facilities Operation, Maintenance and Engineering (TFOME) contract at NASA Glenn Research Center. The TFOME team at the NASA Glenn Research Center provides engineering and technical services in the aeronautics, space power and propulsion test facilities.
Responsibilities
Provide technical and managerial direction for preparing plans and procedures to operate engineering systems.
Provide engineering support to operational activities, including fabrication, assembly, verification, construction, installation, integration, checkout, inspection, troubleshooting, and modification of engineering systems.
Conduct hazard analyses, safety reviews, operational readiness reviews, and operator training.
Develop data acquisition programs to meet test requirements and validate data accuracy.
Interface with customers at all levels.
Qualifications
BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another related engineering discipline. (Additional years of related experience may count as an educational equivalency.)
Five (5) years of professional experience is required.
Familiarity with MS Office products is a must.
Preferences
Engineering degree from an ABET accredited institution
Direct knowledge of Matlab, Python, C++, Fortran, Visual Basic, AUTOCAD, MATHCAD, and SPICE is highly desirable.
Other Position Requirements
Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Must be able to travel, including air travel
