We’re hiring full‑time Foam Production Technicians for the Day shift (5:30 PM – 5:30 AM) to support the manufacturing of healthcare products worldwide at our Wiscasset, ME facility.
Job Overview As a Foam Production Technician you will perform quality control testing and inspection on foam products, operate machinery on a production line that manufactures hydrophilic polyurethane foams, and package finished goods. You will also work with a team to continually improve workflow and production output, ensuring the safest and most efficient operations.
Responsibilities
Perform quality control testing and inspection on foam products.
Record data in a computerized database.
Operate machinery on a production line.
Package finished goods.
Monitor and analyze manufacturing processes to continuously improve workflow and production output.
Collaborate with team members to meet quality and quantity goals in a safe environment.
Qualifications
Pre‑employment physical and background check; at least two professional references required.
Proven success in a team‑based environment and ability to meet performance measures with minimal supervision.
Strong decision‑making skills, both independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Basic mechanical, mathematical, and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
Ability to work overtime to meet production goals.
Physical requirements: >75% of the workdays walking or standing, lifting up to 50 lb, regular handling, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, and grasping.
Close and color vision required; must be able to wear a respirator.
Experience in production or manufacturing preferred but not required.
Working Hours & Compensation
Shift: 3 on, 4 off / 4 on, 3 off rotating schedule.
Hours: 5:30 PM – 5:30 AM (may vary with operational needs; occasional overtime and weekend work possible).
Pay: $21.12 /hr to start.
Shift differential: $2.00 /hr between 5:30 PM and 5:30 AM.
Paid breaks.
