Graduate Placement Coordinator

Location: Edwards CBSHS, Clemson University. Full‑time, Temporary. Job ID: 110038.

Job Summary The Clinical Placement Coordinator is responsible for site development and coordination of all student clinical degree placements with clinical facility partners for the Nurse Practitioner (MS and DNP programs) in the CUSON located at the Clemson School of Nursing building in Greenville, SC.

Job Duties

30% – Management and Oversight:

Collaborates with faculty to determine clinical placement needs; identifies agency requirements; maintains records in Typhon, My Clinical Exchange, and other mandated systems; generates reports; maintains provider relationships and schedules orientations.

30% – Communication:

Maintains communication with clinical agencies, preceptors, and faculty; participates in agency updates; collaborates with SON personnel liaison to ensure clearance documents.

20% – Outreach Coordination:

Identifies new clinical sites and preceptors; supports new contracts; maintains relationships; supports preceptor and student recruitment events.

20% – Program Support:

Plans and prepares clinical orientation for students and faculty each semester; advocates for program and student needs; coordinates with lead faculty, Chief Academic Nursing Officer, Director for the School of Nursing, and Associate Director of Graduate programs.

Minimum Requirements

Associate’s Degree in nursing from an accredited school.

Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the South Carolina Board of Nursing.

Valid driver’s license (some positions may require).

Certification in Basic Life Support and/or Basic/Advanced Cardiac Life Support (some positions may require).

Preferred Requirements

Master’s Degree in Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in South Carolina.

APRN Advanced Practice license (preferred).

Responsibilities

Comprehensive job knowledge of theories and practices.

Acts as Lead – guides the work of others.

Monitors budget – responsible for monitoring departmental budget and may oversee fund allocation.

Physical Requirements

Stand for prolonged periods (10%).

Sit (stationary position) for prolonged periods (80%).

Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself (100%).

Perceive, observe, clarity of vision (100%).

Working Conditions Standard work schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

Compensation Information Expected salary range: $57,334.00 – $76,000.00.

Essential Personnel Level Normal Operations.
