Base pay range $19.00/hr - $35.00/hr
Position Summary Walmart is expanding its workforce and looking for a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. If you have experience in this field, you will bring your skills to our fast‑paced and welcoming environment. As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at our local retail store, you will execute routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager. You will adhere to established maintenance schedules and guidelines, conducting inspections, cleaning, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and hand/power tools.
Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Provide a prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Qualifications
18 years or older.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time and move up and down ladders frequently.
Comfortable working at heights frequently.
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Able to work in various temperatures.
Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience, in one of the above trades.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
