Basic Purpose

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping department to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency are consistently achieved. This position manages daily operations including guest room and public area cleaning, laundry operations, inventory control, and staff supervision. The Executive Housekeeper leads by example and fosters a positive, team‑oriented environment while upholding the hotel’s brand standards. Essential Functions

Direct and manage all housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry services. Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring proper performance, appearance, and conduct. Schedule and coordinate daily cleaning assignments, inspections, and deep‑clean projects. Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness, maintenance, and brand standards. Maintain accurate records of inventory, supplies, linen, and uniforms; control costs by managing labor and supply expenses within budget. Partner with the Maintenance and Front Office departments to ensure guest satisfaction and timely resolution of issues. Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, recognize achievements, and address performance issues. Monitor and maintain compliance with all safety, health, and sanitation standards. Develop and implement cleaning procedures and quality assurance programs. Prepare and manage the departmental budget, forecasting, and purchasing needs.
