Diesel Technician / Mechanic
to join our Distribution business in
Louisville, KY .
This position is for 2nd Shift:
11:30AM - 8PM, Monday - Friday
You will make an impact in the following ways:
Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
Maintain own tools
External Qualifications and Competencies In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Completes complex internal engine repairs
Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
*This position is subject to on‑going random Federal Transit Administration random and pre‑employment drug testing requirements.
Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position
Must have own tools.
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre‑employment drug testing requirements. This role will be subject to on‑going random drug and alcohol testing.
A current valid license is required for this role.
Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience.
This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.
