R41172The Administrative Services Specialist provides executive level administrative support to VCUHS Vice President(s) or Executive Director(s).
The Admin Services Specialist ensures that all administrative assignments are carried out in a professional, timely and confidential manner and that the office operates efficiently and effectively.
The Admin Services Specialist may also provide administrative support to Division Directors/staff and back-up coverage to other senior level executives as needed.**Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:** N/A

**Experience REQUIRED:**
Minimum of four (4) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting
Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications and e-mail/calendaring
**Experience PREFERRED:**
One (1) year of experience supervising staff
Two (2) years of previous experience performing accounting and/or budgeting functions in a corporate setting
**Education/training REQUIRED:**
High School Diploma or equivalent
**Education/training PREFERRED:**
Associate Degree in Business, Accounting or related field from an accredited program
**Independent action(s) required:**
All administrative responsibilities are performed independently.Communicates and interacts with all levels of internal and external contacts;Oversees operational aspects of office;Coordinates/schedules all meeting and makes related arrangements;Types a variety of documents;Screens/refers calls;Handles purchase requisitions and travel reimbursements, etc.
**Supervisory responsibilities** (if applicable):
May supervise assigned staff or interns/students.
