Infrastructure Delivery Installation Technician – Amazon Data Services, Inc.

You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other roles.

In this position you will work with minimum supervision to drive the stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks, and help develop innovative ways to automate and scale our network.

Key Responsibilities

Move and implement large enterprise equipment.

Install fiber and copper cabling, including patching between equipment.

Ensure safety and security standards are met during cabling and rack installation.

Follow established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities.

Safely use material‑handling tools and equipment.

Travel within and outside the regional work area as required.

A Day in the Life As a network cabling technician you install, terminate, and test network cables according to detailed plans while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. Your day will involve working in diverse environments, managing tools and documentation, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a clean, well‑organized cable infrastructure.

Physical Requirements

Regularly lift or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.

Work in a 24/7 environment, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.

Operate in cramped, elevated, and noisy environments.

Stand, walk, bend, lift, stretch, reach, and stretch for up to 8+ hours a day.

Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely without limitation.

Basic Qualifications

Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.

Knowledge of fiber‑optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.

1+ year of data‑center experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Industry‑standard certifications (BICSI, CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).

Location:

USA, IN, New Carlisle – $27.00–47.00 USD hourly
