Key Responsibilities

Move and implement large enterprise equipment and install Fiber and Copper cabling between equipment.

Ensure proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation.

Follow well‑established hardware installation procedures and break‑fix activities.

Safely use material‑handling tools and equipment.

Travel within and outside of the regional work area as required.

Physical Requirements

Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.

Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.

Work in cramped, elevated and/or noisy environments.

Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.

Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.

Day in the Life A network cabling technician installs, terminates, and tests network cables according to detailed plans while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. The role involves working in diverse environments, managing tools and documentation, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a clean, well‑organized cable infrastructure.

About the Team This role is part of AWS Infrastructure Operations, working alongside software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. The team fosters an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers members to own projects from start to finish.

Basic Qualifications

Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.

Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Industry standard certifications (BICSI, CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).

Compensation The base pay for this position ranges from $50,600 per year in the lowest geographic market to $113,200 per year in the highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
