The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing production line equipment with a strong emphasis on electrical systems. This role ensures optimal machine performance, minimizes downtime, and supports continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production line machinery, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical issues such as wiring, motors, sensors, PLCs, and control panels.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Install, calibrate, and maintain automated equipment and production line components.
Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment-related issues quickly.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all maintenance activities.
Assist in equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
Experience:
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with PLCs, VFDs, and control systems.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
