Position Summary The
Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Operator
is responsible for inspecting castings, fixtures, and related tooling using CMM software to verify dimensional accuracy per work instructions and quality standards.
What You'll Do
Set up and operate CMM equipment to inspect parts and tooling
Select and run appropriate CMM programs based on work instructions
Measure castings and components to specified dimensions and tolerances
Accurately document inspection results and generate inspection reports
Calibrate and maintain measuring equipment to ensure ongoing accuracy
Identify non-conformances and communicate findings to Engineering and Quality teams
Collaborate with quality engineers and production staff to resolve quality issues
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent
CMM operation experience preferred (PC-DMIS or Calypso preferred)
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T
Experience using manual inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail with solid problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
Basic understanding of AS9100D and NADCAP standards
