What You Will Do As a Maintenance Repair Worker 2, you will perform entry‑level tasks related to facilities maintenance. Job duties may include, but are not limited to, grounds keeping/landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work. The selected candidate will work out of the Garfield Heights location but will also be required to travel to all facilities within the district (Lake, Geauga, & Cuyahoga Counties) using a state vehicle. A valid driver's licence is required.

Qualifications
Formal education in arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, and reading, writing, and speaking common English vocabulary.
Six months of training or six months of experience in maintenance repair work (basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, masonry repair and use of associated hand and power tools and equipment).
For applicants in the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry, a successfully completed basic firefighter/introduction to fire behavior course (S‑130/S‑190) is required.
Valid commercial driver’s licence if operating motor equipment regulated by Ohio Revised Code §§ 4506.01 and 4506.12.
Equivalent minimum class qualifications may substitute for the required experience, but not for the mandated licences.
