MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN/MECHANIC (FULL TIME)

Job Summary
ESFM is hiring immediately for a full‑time Maintenance Technician/Mechanic. Location: Mondelez – Route 10, Whippany, New Jersey 07981. Online applications accepted only.

Pay Range: $25.00 per hour to $30.00 per hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains, repairs, cleans, and operates plant, shops, mechanical areas, exterior grounds, and campus facilities.
Performs tasks such as minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, minor electrical work, lamp changing, and drywall maintenance.
Responds to emergency problems in the facility; performs emergency repairs as needed.
Maintains logs, performs rounds, and completes maintenance work orders, tests, and inspections.
Reads, comprehends, and transmits complicated, detailed instructions verbally and in writing.
Provides quality customer service and attends to detail in all work.
Responds to dispatch calls for machine repairs, uses company vehicle when required.
Inspects machines, dismantles components to identify malfunctions, evaluates wear and replaces or repairs parts.
Reviews inventory, orders parts, ships and receives machines and equipment, and maintains equipment inventory.
Sets up and operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools (e.g., drills, grinders, welding torches).
Maintains a clean and safe work environment; performs work safely.
Contributes to the team, exhibits professionalism with customers, colleagues, and others.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Prior manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
Willing to train.
Industrial manufacturing and industrial equipment knowledge of blueprints and schematics preferred.
HVAC experience and EPA certification preferred.
Knowledge of systems asset management for heating, air conditioning, ventilation equipment (boilers, chillers, pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, VAVs, controls, piping, etc.).
Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and perform strenuous labor for extended periods.
Type I Refrigeration Certification and valid non‑CDL Class C driver’s license.
