Hours: 7:00AM – 3:00PM

Hourly Rate: $22.54

Annual Education Stipends: $500 for Associates Degree/Accredited Training Program Certification or $1000 for Bachelors Degree or $1500 for Masters Degree

Job Responsibilities:

Compiles data on student intakes

Assures that records of data submitted for processing are accurate and complete

Assists in developing new procedures to improve data processing and customer service

Provides telephone support as needed

Enters data into a web-based database

Produces reports and manages data as necessary

Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Minimum Civil Service Qualifications:

There is no civil service examination required for this position for the duration of the NY HELPS Program. Candidates must meet the minimum civil service qualifications for a NY HELPS appointment as follows:

Completion of two (2) years of study at a regionally accredited or New Yostated two (2) or four (4) year college and two (2) years of office or clerical experience, at least one year of which involved the operation of data processing equipment or the clerical processing of computer input or output; OR;

Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and four (4) years of office or clerical experience, at least one (1) year of which involved the operation of data processing equipment or the clerical processing of computer input or output: OR;

An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
