The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and optimizing parts inventory accuracy across the dealership. This role plays a critical part in supporting sales, service, and accounting by ensuring inventory records align with physical stock, manufacturer requirements, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular physical inventories and cycle counts
Managing special orders for on-going work in the shop
Driving to different dealerships to pick up parts
Checking in the stock order daily
Maintaining cleanliness and organization at your station and throughout the parts department
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Basic understanding of accounting and inventory controls
Ability to analyze problems and resolve discrepancies efficiently
May require occasional lifting, walking inventory areas, and extended standing
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Dealertrack/XTime
Prior experience in automotive parts
Work Environment
Fast-paced dealership setting with multiple priorities
