Job Description Our client is seeking a
Facilities Specialist
to support day-to-day building operations during a temporary leave coverage. This role focuses on facilities coordination, vendor management, space planning support, and responding to internal service requests. The ideal candidate brings a strong sense of urgency, excellent customer service, and comfort working with facilities technology systems in a corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate office moves, space changes, and furniture reconfigurations to support business needs
Manage and close facilities-related work orders while ensuring timely resolution
Partner with vendors and service providers to schedule, monitor, and complete facilities work
Track space utilization, equipment, and changes within facilities management systems
Review office spaces regularly to identify maintenance issues and ensure standards are met
Support construction or renovation projects by tracking timelines, budgets, and deliverables
Respond to internal help desk requests and elevate issues when appropriate
Assist with invoice review, purchasing, and documentation related to facilities services
Maintain accurate floor plans, reports, and facilities-related records
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress, or equivalent practical experience
3–5 years of experience in facilities, building operations, or property management
Prior experience managing facilities requests and working with external vendors
Familiarity with CAFM systems and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to interpret basic construction or space planning drawings
Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills
Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, professional environment
Customer-service mindset with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
Additional Details
Temporary assignment lasting approximately 4 weeks
