A day in the life You’ll step into a clean, safety-focused shop where complex pump components arrive for custom rebuilds. Your morning might begin on a Vertical Turret Lathe dialing in concentricity on a large impeller, followed by a precision setup on a horizontal or vertical boring mill to bring a bearing housing to spec. In the afternoon, you’ll interpret a drawing, calculate a bolt circle using geometry you know by heart, verify dimensions with inspection tools, and record those measurements for the team. Throughout the day, you’ll collaborate with engineers and fellow machinists to troubleshoot, optimize procedures, and keep our equipment in peak condition.
