Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit night shift position requiring a GA or compact license and Level IV NICU experience.
Responsibilities
Work in a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a hospital setting
Night shift position, 7p-7a, scheduled as weekend blocks (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Cares for patients with surgical and complex diagnoses including CDH, MAS, NEC, TEF/EA, abdominal wall defects, BPD, pulmonary hypertension, and perioperative cases
Floating required to other departments within the hospital and cross-campus to the SR NICU
No on-call requirements
Must be willing to work either the day of Christmas or the day before/after based on holiday scheduling
Will interact with neonates presenting a variety of complex medical and surgical conditions
First time travelers will be considered
Compliance with weekend blocked scheduling is required for this assignment
Requirements
Active GA or compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
Prior experience in a surgical/Level IV NICU is required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
Flu vaccine required with no exceptions
Nicotine-free and must pass nicotine testing
