An opportunity is available for experienced NICU Registered Nurses who are skilled in level IV and surgical NICU care. This contract position demands dedication and expertise in managing critically ill neonates with complex conditions. The role involves working at a reputable medical center located in Alpharetta, GA, known for its commitment to advanced neonatal care and patient-centered services. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Proficiency in level IV/surgical NICU nursing PALS certification required; NRP certification preferred Willingness to float within multiple departments and cross campus as needed Able to work weekend shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Must comply with nicotine-free facility policies and provide required testing Flu vaccination mandatory, with no exceptions Commitment to holiday scheduling requirements, including working Christmas Day or adjacent days Responsibilities: Provide specialized nursing care for neonates with complex diagnoses such as congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), meconium aspiration syndrome (MAS), necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), tracheoesophageal fistula/esophageal atresia (TEF/EA), abdominal wall defects, bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), and pulmonary hypertension Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and quality standards Participate in ongoing education and orientation sessions to stay current with best practices Location Insight:Alpharetta, Georgia, offers a vibrant community with a blend of suburban charm and urban amenities.
