We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Utilities Operator to join our team at the Cedar Rapids production facility. This role is critical to ensuring the reliable operation of our utilities infrastructure, including high-pressure boilers, compressed air systems, chillers, fire protection systems, and water treatment processes.### **Key Responsibilities*** Operate and maintain three high-pressure boilers in compliance with legal and safety standards.* Monitor and troubleshoot utilities systems using Data Historian, HMIs, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).* Collect and analyze samples (liquid and solid waste), recording key metrics such as flow rates, temperature, pH, and chemical dosing.* Support maintenance activities and assist with mobile equipment operation (e.g., forklift, bobcat, cherry picker).* Participate in capital and expense project development with engineering teams.* Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of valves, pumps, hoses, and related equipment.* Maintain cleanliness and safety at transfer points and other critical areas.* Collaborate with team members to define best practices, develop SOPs, and drive continuous improvement.### **Work Schedule*** Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a 24/7 operational environment.* Provide shift coverage as needed for team members.### **Qualifications*** Minimum 6 years of experience in an industrial plant or utilities environment.* Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations.* Physically capable of climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in confined spaces.* Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant systems.* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.* Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.* Comfortable leading discussions and contributing to team-based decision-making.We are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
