Part Time Receptionist - Wag N Bone
As a receptionist at our facility, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets. You will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, scheduling appointments, managing inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk and retail area.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
Answer phone calls and emails, and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Schedule grooming appointments and daycare sessions using our booking system
Maintain accurate records of client information, appointments, and payments
Assist clients with retail purchases, providing product recommendations and answering questions about our products
Keep the reception area and retail store clean, organized, and well‑stocked
Collaborate with groomers, daycare staff, and management to ensure efficient and effective communication and operations
Handle any customer concerns or issues with empathy and professionalism, striving to exceed client expectations
Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as needed
Requirements
Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in a pet‑related industry
Passion for working with animals and providing excellent care to pets and their owners
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Proficiency with computer systems and software, including booking and point‑of‑sale systems
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
