TITLE Purchasing Assistant
POSITION OBJECTIVE This position is responsible for assisting Purchasing Manager, preparing production reports, and other administrative duties as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of two (2) years of office experience
Minimum of two (2) years of college is preferred, but an additional three (3) years work experience can substitute for college
Must be very proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to create spreadsheets
Other Skills/Abilities
Must be knowledgeable in purchasing
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Process requisitions and purchase orders
Research past due orders and inquire with vendors on orders
Filing of purchase orders
Special projects as directed
Maintain inventory of select items
Manage contracted inventories as needed
Negotiate best possible pricing terms
Compliance with all SQF procedures
Reports any food safety problems to a member of management of SF Practitioner
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION
Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions
Not exposed to any adverse environmental conditions. (Usually office work.)
