Position Position Overview
Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) monitor and assist adolescent clients in the residential milieu, lead activities designed to help the residents adjust to living in a community setting and assist the residents in gaining the skills needed to manage their eating disorder. BHTs play an integral role in the day-to-day function of the clients’ experience.
Schedule
Full-time 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) Day/Evening
Day Shifts: 6a-2:30p, 8a-4:30p
Evening Shifts: 2p-10:30p, 4p-12:30a
Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)
Schedule is made a month at a time with a combination of both day and evening shifts
Compensation
BHT I: Starting hourly range between $18.00-$21.00
Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position
Responsibilities / How BHTs Empower Recovery
Partner with the multi-disciplinary team on care plan and treatment, assisting in admissions, supporting or assisting clients in programming
Participate in therapeutic meals and snacks and provide support during structured outings and recreation
Engage, challenge, and support residents as needed; report observations and document in charts
Monitor and support bathroom use per client treatment direction; monitor and document exercise
Enforce appropriate policies with residents and complete all expected tasks including hourly room-checks
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required with one year of mental health experience or
Bachelor’s degree in mental health field with 0-1 year of experience
Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive
