Come work with multidisciplinary engineers focused on delivering world class Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program. You will be responsible for the design solutions that support the Organization. As an Engineer, you will work with a diverse workforce responsible for the development, design, fabrication, test, and delivery of MGSE.
Job Responsibilities
Independently develop mechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products.
Review requirements from various sources (stress, dynamics, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products.
Collaborate with peers, configuration management, and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met.
Contribute to the completion of Program achievements by the release of accurate, error-free, affordable and producible engineering designs.
Qualifications & Requirements The ideal candidate will have knowledge of 3DCAD Modeling in PTC CREO, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), good communication skills (both oral and written), and a background in Mechanical Engineering processes. A willingness to travel up to 10% of time and the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance is required.
Desired Skills
Experience in Mechanical Ground Support Equipment for transportation and assembly of launch vehicles/payloads.
Working knowledge of industry standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS standards applicable to mechanical systems.
Experience with application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5.
Experience with Engineering Data Product release process within the Engineering Product Data Management (EPDM) system.
Knowledge of LM Space command media.
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Good oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
Active DoD Secret security clearance.
