Wage:

Education & Requirements
High School degree or equivalent.
Previous healthcare insurance/billing experience.
Proficient in basic keyboarding/word processing and Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently and make necessary decisions.
Ability to collaborate across the organization to ensure accurate claim billing.
Compliance: Must pass both a Kansas Bureau of Investigation Screen and a Central Registry Screen.
Job Description
Claim Management & Accuracy: Collaborate with third‑party vendors, internal teams, and Patient Account Specialists to obtain and correct missing information for accurate and timely claims, billing, and reimbursement.
Accounts Receivable & Follow‑up: Actively follow up on outstanding claims with third parties and internal staff, manage insurance correspondence, process denials, discounts, refunds, and notify relevant personnel.
Payment Processing: Accurately post payments received from all sources, including insurance companies, contracts, and self‑pay, and notify the Patient Account Specialist of any eligibility changes identified during the process.
System and Platform Operation: Demonstrate proficiency in reading account ledgers and posting charges/payments/corrections within the MyAvatar system.
Technical Proficiency: Utilize and navigate various external billing websites (Waystar, Availity, KMAP) and manage accounts, payments, and claims data using Excel spreadsheets.
