Pay Range Base pay range: $96,336.00/yr - $121,413.00/yr

Description Under the direction of an IT Manager, this position will provide lead analysis, design, and support functions within the Dedicated Support Team of the Department of Tax and Finance. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Facilitates and participates in meetings with Business Solutions staff, users and management;

Develops detailed project plans collaboratively with ITS staff, agency staff and end users;

Provides project reporting to PMO;

Oversees the execution of applications, ensuring applications function accurately and are available to our internal and external business customers;

Provides support, as needed, for incident & issue resolution ensuring that incidents and defects are addressed promptly based on priority;

Manages staff using the department’s core technologies ensuring that staff members are properly trained in the development tooling including, but not limited to Power Apps, SharePoint, Lotus Notes, .NET, Blazor;

Manages multiple work assignments, projects, enhancement requests, and day-to-day issue resolution;

Perform full range of supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 4, SG25 OR in a position at the SG23 level or higher deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law OR in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in advancement of more than two salary grades.

Candidates must be reachable on the current eligible list for this title in order to be list appointed.
