Job Summary The A/R Specialist position works closely with the Credit A/R manager as a small team providing all account receivable services to our internal and external customers. It is a fast-paced environment, with a high volume of accounts and requests throughout the day. The position will require being able to prioritize your day and meet deadlines as needed.
Job Responsibilities
Payment application daily for check, ACH and credit card payments
Invoice Entry for payment (includes emailing to requestor and/or entering invoices into portals)
Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies for sales and customers
Monitor A/R inbox to assist with customer and sales team requests and inquiries
Collections on past due accounts
Assisting with Sales Tax Exemption on orders/invoicing
New Customer Set-up
Back up Credit A/R Manager as needed
Qualifications Education and Experience
High school diploma
Associates degree in Accounting is preferred
2-3 years experience with accounts receivables is preferred
Required Skills/Abilities
High degree of accuracy
Great attention to detail
Willingness to learn and develop
Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Physical Requirements / Work Conditions Physical Requirements:
Vision: Must possess specific skills like close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment, mainly for computer use.
Mobility: Mostly seated at a desk, with occasional needs for standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
Work Conditions:
Environment: Semi-private office/cubicle.
