Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations and financial reporting across a growing, multi-entity organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will be responsible for month-end close, audit management, fixed asset accounting, process improvement, and oversight of AP and AR. The Controller will play a key role in strengthening controls, improving automation, and preparing the organization for continued growth and future ERP implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

Assist in preparation and maintenance of standardized reporting packages for management, investors, and other stakeholders.

Major assist in the management and coordination of external audits, including audit planning, support, and completion.

Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and system improvements.

Help establish consistent accounting policies and best practices across all operating entities.

Provide oversight of Accounts Payable, including spend review, controls, and process improvements.

Oversee Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring accurate billing and timely collections.

Support treasury operations, including cash forecasting, bank reconciliations, ACH/wire payments, and positive pay.

Oversee loan accounting and reporting for a large loan portfolio.

Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with the CFO.

Manage compliance and regulatory reporting requirements as needed.

Play a key role in future ERP selection and implementation, including upgrades from QuickBooks.

Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).

8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity environments.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and audit support.

Experience leading accounting teams and improving processes through automation.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance hands-on work with strategic leadership.
