What The Role Is
We are growing and looking for a Corporate Staff Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving process improvements and implementing best practices across the team. What You’ll Be Doing
Perform timely month end close tasks, including preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing balance sheet accruals, monthly AP month-end accrual, intercompany bank account reconciliation, completing variance analysis, and daily reconciliation & posting of sales revenue data from the Point-of-Sale System.
Responsible for cash reporting & reconciliations: multiple bank accounts reconciliation within the Accounting System, daily cash reconciliation vs. revenue data, and site-level cash reconciliation and audit of petty cash.
Set up new sites tracking – Loomis, bank, safe ordering, MID, and coordination with Development Department and Regional Directors.
Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports.
Assist with completion of balance sheet and tax audits.
Evaluate and utilize technology to streamline processes, create improvement efficiencies, and implement new processes.
Support various projects, as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
3+ years accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-entity environment
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles with strong understanding of accrual-based accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software required. Experience with Dynamics Business Central or NAV is a definite plus.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Experience working with accounts payable, payroll, journal entries, and reconciliations (bank, credit card, and balance sheet).
Experience leveraging technology, improving processes and creating efficiencies.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, and data analysis tools.
Experience in Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
