Large food manufacturing company located in central Florida is seeking a 3rd shift Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a production shift within the facility. You will lead production personnel to meet output, quality, safety and cost standards while supporting continuous improvement, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring high employee engagement. Key Responsibilities
Supervise, coordinate and monitor all production activities on the assigned shift to meet or exceed production schedules, efficiency goals, product quality, and customer requirements. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and company policies. Troubleshoot equipment, process, quality or throughput issues; implement corrective actions and preventive measures. Ensure proper equipment setup for production runs, maintain production documentation and shift reports. Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment; conduct shift safety meetings, enforce PPE, and support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Kaizen, 5S). Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree in Food Science, Business, Operations Management or related field preferred. Experience: 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or bakery environment preferred; strong familiarity with bakery operations is a plus. Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., SQF/BRC/AIB), GMPs, production scheduling, efficiency metrics, and basic equipment maintenance. Strong leadership skills, team building, coaching, conflict resolution and communication abilities. Good analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. ficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and comfort with production/ERP systems is advantageous. Must be able to work flexible shifts (including nights, weekends, overtime) based on production demand. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred given workforce diversity.
