We’re hiring for our Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, and Eau Claire, WI offices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in bridge, retaining wall, and box culvert design. This role plays a key role across JT’s municipal, transportation, and site development groups.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the structural design of projects from concept through construction
Mentor junior staff and perform quality‑control reviews of structural deliverables
Collaborate with colleagues while embracing JT’s values and culture
Communicate effectively internally and externally
Produce quality work within established guidelines
Assist with the management of project budgets
Interpret and adhere to internal Quality Control processes
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
Minimum five years of relevant experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Wisconsin or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Mathcad, RISA, LEAP Bridge, MDX, Eriksson Culvert and other comparable structural design software
Familiarity with WisDOT, AASTHO, ASCE, NDS, AISC, and other structural design codes (preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technical competence to perform project tasks independently
Knowledge of client and internal software required to complete projects
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to worksites, client meetings, and conferences
Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without work‑sponsorship restrictions
Occasional out‑of‑town and overnight travel for professional development and/or project work
