This position is located within the Electrical Unit, Engineering Section of the Facilities Management Service at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit, MI. The incumbent of this position installs, troubleshoots, performs preventative maintenance, and repairs on the electrical distribution systems which include but are not limited to primary switch gear, sub stations, transformers, breakers, motor control centers, power and receptacle panels, and lighting panels.
Duties This position is responsible for installing, modifying, repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing, new and existing electrical wires, circuits, systems and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment.
