JOB DESCRIPTION Summary of Position:
Ohioans for Amy Acton is seeking a Regional Fundraising Manager to join our finance team. This role will be a key part of our campaign’s fundraising efforts, working within the finance department to execute a successful in-state events program.
You’re an ideal candidate if you have strong time and organizational management skills, are a diligent researcher and communicator, and are comfortable working closely with individuals across the state to execute a large‑scale fundraising events program. Successful candidates will also possess strong writing and communication skills and are prepared to think out of the box to enhance the events program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate the events program
Work closely with the finance director to determine event locations, needs, and requests
Oversee the strategic planning of all in-state fundraising events
Recruit local hosts to raise from community networks
Regularly communicate with hosts across the state, managing their relationship with the campaign to ensure event success
Recruit event attendees and chase event pledges
Work with the Finance Director, Call Time Manager, and in-state consulting team to appropriately target small, medium, and high-dollar donors for regional events
Coordinate fundraising event logistical needs, managing all aspects of:
Scheduling
Staffing plan
Venue
Refreshments
Security
Maintain an events tracker that tracks event progress, pledges, and income
Determine event email and texting universes and communicate needs to the larger campaign team and consultants
Prepare memos and other briefing materials
Staff fundraising events
Other responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
At least one cycle of work experience in a finance role on a campaign or similar organization, ideally in an events position
Strong relationship-building and donor management skills
Excellent writing and editing skills as well as attention to detail
Experience working with NGP and ActBlueAbility to work in a fast-paced, shifting environment and keep up with breaking news
Willingness to learn, share, and collaborate across departments
Willingness to work long hours and irregular campaign hours, including nights and weekends
Preferred, but not required:
Experience managing interns
Basic graphic design experience
Additional consideration will be given to candidates with Ohio ties
Compensation:
Salary: $5,000 - $5,500 per month
Benefits options include: health, dental, vision
Leave: Paid time off will be available per campaign policy.
Hours: This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
