Ohioans for Amy Acton is seeking a finance assistant to join our finance team. This role will be a key part of our campaign’s fundraising efforts, working within the finance department to help support our in‑state events program, call time program, and overall fundraising program.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supporting the call time program
Work closely with the finance director and the call time manager to assist in the scheduling, staffing, and prep for the call time program
Research and prospect potential donors
Helping to fill in and staff candidate call time as needed
Supporting the events program
Working with the finance director and in‑state team to help coordinate and organize events across the state
Work directly with hosts on planning and executing fundraising events
Managing event invites, RSVP lists, and donation processing systems
Staffing events across Ohio events
Helping to prepare memos and other briefing materials
Overseeing the donor thank you program
Assisting in operational needs such as compliance and mail
Other responsibilities as required
Qualifications
Strong relationship‑building and donor management skills
Excellent writing and editing skills as well as attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, shifting environment
Willingness to learn, share, and collaborate across departments
Willingness to work long hours and irregular campaign hours, including nights and weekends
Preferred, but not required
Experience in a finance role on a campaign or similar organization
Experience working with NGP and ActBlue
Additional consideration will be given to candidates with Ohio ties
Compensation
Salary: $4,000 per month
Benefits options include: health, dental, vision
Leave: Paid time off will be available per campaign policy.
Hours: This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
