Title Patient Access Training Coordinator
Responsibilities Primarily serves as an instructor to all Patient Access/Revenue Cycle employees for Bronson and system affiliates. Acts as a consultant on insurance issues and third‑party regulations. Serves as a consultant and facilitator with other departments needing input on Patient Access/Revenue Cycle processes by participating in new software installations, problem identification, and enhancement testing.
Identify staff development needs (trending).
EPIC credentialing is preferred.
Computer experience and efficiency along with outstanding communication skills and medical terminology are necessary.
Develop and conduct classroom and virtual training sessions.
Develop and perform instructional design documentation.
Facilitate and coordinate all aspects of Patient Access/Revenue Cycle communications and processes with multiple entities.
Interface regularly with leadership and other departments.
Apply critical thinking to explain best practices, standard work, and compliance requirements.
Pay close attention to detail and accuracy in workflow processes.
Use problem‑solving skills to improve workflows and support change management.
Manage time independently in a fast‑paced team environment.
Promote positive customer service and provide frontline support.
Provide one‑on‑one targeted training and address issues constructively.
Motivate and engage staff at all levels.
Maintain negotiation skills and multi‑tasking ability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
2–4 years of hands‑on training experience.
Must obtain CHAA certification and Epic credentialing within 18 months of hire.
Computer proficiency, communication skills, and medical terminology.
Ability to develop and conduct classroom and virtual training sessions.
Strong writing and oral communication skills.
Ability to motivate and engage staff.
Physical Demands The job requires regular walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, and light lifting.
