About the Role
We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our client’s team for a 6+ month temporary assignment. This position supports a growing financial institution by providing essential HR services, including administrative tasks, employee assistance, and light recruiting activities. The role is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a passion for delivering accurate, timely HR support.
Job Description
As an HR Coordinator, you will handle a variety of administrative and transactional HR responsibilities to ensure smooth operations within the HR department. Key duties include:
Administrative & HR Support
Perform accurate data entry in HRIS for job changes, terminations, and updates.
Maintain digital employee files and assist with PTO and leave tracking.
Respond to routine HR inbox questions and schedule interviews or meetings.
Support new hire onboarding, including paperwork, I-9 verification, and background checks.
Post job openings and manage applicant tracking workflows.
Screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and communicate with candidates.
Prepare offer letters using approved templates and assist with reference checks.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
Benefits & Payroll Support
Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.
Answer routine benefits questions and support new hire benefit onboarding.
Collect and validate timecards, track PTO and leaves, and flag discrepancies for review.
Performance & Compliance
Support performance review cycles and ensure compliance with HR policies.
Qualifications
Required
Previous HR experience or light HR exposure (entry-level candidates considered).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in data entry and basic HRIS functions.
Preferred
Experience with benefits administration and payroll preparation.
Familiarity with recruiting processes and applicant tracking systems.
Knowledge of HR compliance and performance review procedures.
