Base pay range $24.00/hr - $27.00/hr

Job Purpose The Threadline Inspector will Inspect threads on joints of tubular pipe to detect defects and to determine conformance to specified tolerances in taper, lead, and threads per inch, using precision gauges and instruments.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the inspection of threads in conformance to the required specification.
Ensure that all inspection gauges and instruments conform to proper standards and calibration.
Proper storage of gauges before and after daily shifts.
Spot check other processes for quality conformance and report findings to supervisor.
Inspect threads for conformity to company, API, and customer standards or specifications.
Mark threads for identification and traceability.
Verify material for identification per the Work Order.
Communicate any concerns with the Thread Operator as well as gathering feedback throughout the first and last article of the threading process.
Fill out the Daily Production/Inspection Report.
Follow all instructions as delegated by the Quality System.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Competencies
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
At least three months on the job training, or previous work experience in all inspection procedures and methods in order to qualify products to meet the required specifications.
Job Knowledge: At least Knowledge and experience within the OCTG pipe inspection industry is preferable.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, hand tools and handheld technical devices.
Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and Straightener operation is a plus.
Ability to lift to 30 pounds required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Employee must be able to work with a flexible schedule which may require over‑time.
Understands all applicable location safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted on site.
The ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly.
The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds.
The ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE.
Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.
Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
Direct Reports / Authorities Has the authority to stop the threading or delivery of material if the material does not conform to the required standards.
