Medical Director

A strong community health system in New York City is seeking a Medical Director to join their team. About the Opportunity: Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1 Saturday or Sunday per month Hours: 9am-5pm, one later night per week Setting: 100% outpatient Patient population: all ages Responsibilities: Directly supervise all providers working at the outpatient site and perform competency evaluations Organize monthly meetings with providers with documented minutes of meeting Participate in monthly office management meeting with nurse manager and office manager of site Monitor provider productivity, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance Supervise clinical performance of training programs and trainees in collaboration with training program directors Collaborate with nursing, social work, and administrative managers in the hiring of new staff Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages in addition to leadership and administrative responsibilities Requirements: License to practice medicine in New York Board Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine Interest in community health and working with diverse populations Previous leadership experience
