Base pay range $50.00/hr - $55.00/hr
Responsibilities
The position involves providing high-quality care in a telemetry unit, with responsibilities including monitoring cardiac telemetry, managing patient care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
The role requires working with adult and geriatric patients, handling a variety of diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, and sepsis, and managing post-cardiac catheterization and medical/surgical patients.
The job involves a patient ratio of 1:4-5 and requires weekend coverage with six weekend shifts per six-week contract.
The nurse will also float between units as needed.

Starting and maintaining IVs
Telemetry – on the unit monitoring
Telemetry – remote monitoring
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Oxygen administration
Tracheostomy care/management
Feeding tube care and management
Heparin Protocols
Manage Cardiac drips - no titration
Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
Isolation Precautions
Wound Care/Wound Vac
Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in telemetry or a related field
Experience with a patient ratio of 1:4-5
Preferred experience in Trauma Level II
Experience with the Epic charting system
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
