Positions Available This position may be filled as an Engineering Technologist I or one level higher as an Engineering Technologist II depending on the selected candidate’s experience.

Engineering Technologist I A technical support role with close supervision. Expected to develop skills and work with some degree of independence.

Engineering Technologist II Second‑level technical support role. Expected to solve complex problems and provide oversight with general supervision.

Responsibilities

Apply technical expertise in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems in the area of expertise.

Ensure accomplishment of business goals through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities.

Apply beginner‑level knowledge to prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches.

Conduct engineering and related studies.

Strive to continually improve job‑related, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.

Develop positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.

Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.

Maintain accurate records and files.

Support the company’s goals and represent the company positively and professionally.

Basic/Required Qualifications – Engineering Technologist I

Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 2+ years equivalent industry experience without a degree.

Basic/Required Qualifications – Engineering Technologist II

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 2+ years of experience and an Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 4+ years equivalent experience without a degree.

Desired Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals from diverse socio‑economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.

Understanding of basic principles of project management.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in the utility industry.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the utility industry.

Understanding of basic principles of project management.

Working Conditions

Hybrid Mobility Classification.

Some business units may require visits to field sites and/or plants.

Travel Requirements: 5–15 %.
