Duties

You will provide special technical expertise and leadership in complex coordination and management of all contractor engineering and product assurance efforts.

You will lead Flight Test efforts related to the Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) to include Demonstration and Shakedown Operations (DASO) and Follow‑On Commander Evaluation Tests (FCET).

You will lead Flight Test investigations, evaluate flight performance, coordinate range safety, and oversee In Tube Conversion (ITC) as a part of DASO and FCET.

You will influence, lead, monitor, and approve contractor design and product quality assurance efforts in satisfying contractual requirements for various contract deliverables.

You will assure that configuration control of weapons systems is in compliance with the approved Configuration Management processes.

You will implement program policy, engineering criteria, and provide information to the prime contractor and Navy field activities.

You will represent the command in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with field activities, fleet representatives, contractors, 45th Space Launch Delta, and consultants.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
