Production Supervisor

Base pay range
$50,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
SUMMARY The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production. This role oversees shift-based operations, directs production teams, supports quality and safety standards, and partners with cross‑functional teams to meet production goals. This position offers hands‑on leadership responsibility, exposure to continuous improvement initiatives, and the opportunity to directly impact operational performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all production activities during the assigned shift, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operating standards
Lead, coach, and support production personnel including operators, utility staff, and material handlers
Assist with staffing needs including scheduling, onboarding, and training of production team members
Monitor production flow, material usage, and equipment performance to support efficiency and reduce downtime
Enforce GMP, safety programs, and standard operating procedures
Partner with maintenance to address equipment issues and support preventive maintenance activities
Complete and maintain required production, quality, and compliance documentationCoordinate with quality and shipping teams to ensure finished products meet specifications and delivery timelines
Foster a positive team environment focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Perform additional duties as needed to support operational goals
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment required
Working knowledge of production line operations and equipment
Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred
Experience in plastics, packaging, or food manufacturing environments a plus
Familiarity with quality systems and manufacturing standards preferred
Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to use basic computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to work 12‑hour shifts and perform physical job duties including standing, walking, bending, and lifting
