This National Guard position is for a TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST (COMSEC), Position Description Number

and is part of the 224 ADG, National Guard.

Duties As a TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST (COMSEC) GS-0391-11, you will perform duties as the Eastern Air Defense Sector Communications Security (COMSEC) Manager, providing secure and efficient COMSEC operations.
Requirements
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
May be required to successfully complete a two year trial period.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station.
The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
The employee will also perform duties as the primary facility manager, safe and equipment custodian.
Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
Performs other duties as required.
Incumbent must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS or TS/SCI security clearance (Special Compartmented Information), as required.
The work involves considerable recurring physical exertion, such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Packages picked up may weigh up to 75 pounds.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position within one year of appointment.
